A Day in the Sun

Dress- Sold Out Find similar here & love this one / Shoes- Only $39! / Clutch (old) love this & this  / Earrings / Lipstick (Blossom Culture Frost )
It has been H-O-T in Charlotte. It has consecutively been hitting as high as 90, and the very last thing I want to do is be in something fussy or uncomfortable. Enter this dress. It is perfect for those hot days when you are out running errands, meeting friends at the brewery, or simply just hanging out. It is from Nordstrom, and unfortunately, it sold out due to their Half Yearly Sale, but I have linked above similar styles, and one that has a similar silhouette as mine. Not to worry though, I will continually be hunting for the perfect dresses that can fit the heat here! You will have to stay tune!
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I can't wait to be in the water, out in the sun!

Color Me Brightly

Hello! You will notice time and time again how much I love color, and how much I love mixing these bright colors together. I mean, hello! Do you remember as a child you use to be SOOO excited to wear your new outfit to school? And perhaps you would “save” it to wear when you had a particular class with the boy you were currently crushing on? It’s because you loved that new outfit and felt amazing in it! Well, why not be happy with what you are wearing every day?!  When I wear something bright like what I have on above, I feel like I bring my own little piece of sunshine with me to the office. Brighten up your wardrobe, girlfriend! It’s SPRING and it’s already hitting 90 in Charlotte!

Pops of Neon

Skirt: J Crew (similar here and here)  Blouse: TheLimited (similar here) / Bag: Tory Burch / Necklace: Similar-BaubleBar / Earrings: Kendra Scott / Watch: Michael Kors / Shoes: Old, similar here /  Lips: Mac Cosmetics "CCandy Yum Yum" / Sunglasses: Old, similar here

Well, hasn't it just been BEAUTIFUL outside lately?! I mean hello 80 degrees and everyday being a sunny day! One thing I love about where Pat lives is he is only a couple blocks from this all organic grocery market, Deep Roots. It has an amazing salad/lunch bar, and a nuts/seeds bar.  I may or may not be obsessed with the chocolate covered almonds, and the banana chips-YUM! It was so windy this day- a bit hard to sit outside at a table and munch on our goodies, but we made it work!

This neon yellow skirt that I am wore- I can't get enough of it. I actually own it in the neon orange color as well, however, if you are on the hunt for a similar lime colored skirt like mine, then look here. I wore it with this sleeveless blue and white pinstripe blouse that I got from The Limited last spring, but could easily be worn with any simple top. I of course, grabbed my "go to" bag and since I am all about bright neon accessories that really "pop", I wore this pretty little necklace that I bought from HandPicked boutique when I first moved to Charlotte!

Happy Weekend! May yours be sunny!

Nautical Haven

Shirt / Skirt / Bow Belt- and another that's too CUTE / Bag- Tory Burch, similar here / Heels / Charm Bracelet / Anchor / Monogram

There isn't anything that screams more spring than some sailboat prints and anchors. I wore this to church in Greensboro a few weekends back, and there was this gorgeous house next door. An old classic, southern home with the big porch, and two white columns. I immediately dragged Pat to the front porch with me and, of course, I had to proceed with telling him what I would do to this home, and the perfect life we would have living in it! Ahhah-typical girl thing to do! My day dream ended quickly when he reminded me it had been converted to a business and he was hungry for lunch! Anyway, I find this outfit to be perfect for work or church, conservative but with some interest to brighten your day!
