LWD and a Sunhat

Hey there sunshine! A LWD (little white dress)  with some pops of pink is a no brainer for me! This girl loves, loves, loves PINK! I love how crisp white looks against a suntan during the summer time! My dress is from the boutique Petal; I highly recommend you take a look at their clothing-super trendy and cute! I bought this hat way earlier in the season from Belk (BCBG) and my neon pink tote (Kate Spade) was a birthday gift from my parents! I have found similar product of what I am wearing, and have linked it below for you! I even included pictures so you can have a look! Just click on the links below to see where they are from!

A 70s Shift

Dress is from Petal  / H&M Featherly Earrings-similar here and here (Kate Spade-LOVE THEM)  / Tassel Bracelets / Clutch-similar here / Wedges

The 70's are coming back ya'll! When I saw this dress it reminded me of the transitional time period of leaving the 60s and entering the 70s. You know, the time we all hear our parents tell stories about. The hippies, the huge flare bottoms, the bright colors and the lively prints. I am obviously a fan of color; that is primarily what CarolinaBstyle is all about- having a love for all things bright, colorful and sunny!

This shift dress is too comfortable and too cute. I wore it when Pat and I went to get dinner (we sat outside with Ruby at our feet- so precious) and then we met friends at a comedy show and went out afterwards celebrating a friend's birthday! I can't stop obsessing over all of the colors in it and I love that I can wear it to work with just throwing a little cardigan on over it. Find similar dresses below!
I am a huge fan of platform wedges. I swear I could run in them because they are always so comfortable! I have rounded up a few of my current favs below for you! Happy shoe shopping!

Aztec Tank Dress

Similar product to what I am wearing in the post:

I bought this dress earlier in the season from ASOS.com but unfortunately, it sold out quickly. I found a similar one from ASOS here and I am thinking of biting the bullet and purchasing it really soon! It's different enough, I swear; I love white with splashes of bright color! Speaking of bright color, we all know I love pink, especially neon pink. My tribal clutch is from Francesca's and I found two similar here and here for ya!

Ruby, of course, had to make another appearance on CarolinaBStyle! Words can not express how cute my RubyRu is! I love the photo above where she was looking directly at Pat! I mean, that was a perfect stare into the camera lens; we won't be able to capture that again! One thing I love about Charlotte, is that it is so dog-friendly. I live in an area where I can walk anywhere for restaurants, bars, art galleries, parks, etc. This means oodles of fun for my toy-doodle! Hah! Sort of rhymes!  I can't believe it is half way though July already. I have so many things I want to do this summer, I know I need to hop to it! What are your remaining plans this summer? Off to somewhere good?!
Enjoy your Sunday!

A Little Pink Number...

I love this linen PINK embroidered simple tank dress! I think it is hard to find a hot pink more of a casual dress and I love that it's easy throw on and go! This dress is a definite win! I wore this when Pat and I went to Pittsburgh to get our little RuRu! The humidity there in the summer is almost unbearable. I knew I had to wear something comfortable and cool on this day because Pat and I had promised my twin sister, Marissa, we would stop by her camp with Ruby and her dog, Kiley. My twin Marissa is one of the strongest people I know; she sees her physical disability as a challenge God has given her to overcome and tackles each day with the most uplifting positive attitude! Pittsburgh doesn't get much sun, but when you're around Maris, your world instantly gets brighter! Anyway, she was at a camp with other young adults, who get to enjoy a wonderful week away to hang out and try new things!  Pat and I knew the puppies would love to go and be greeted and played with so we spent the afternoon visiting her and her friends! Ruby wouldn't stay still! She was running all over the place!

I found some similar dresses that I love and hope you will too! I think they are super cute and really affordable! They are the perfect buy and wear now item! Pink is my favorite color, and I feel like you always see embroidered dresses like these in navy & white, or blue & white combos, so I think the pink is really refreshing!

Hooray! It is almost the weekend! What are your plans?! I am throwing a little party for one of my besties who just had a birthday! Woot, woot PARTY at my place! :-)

Instagram Round Up

I have had several busy weeks in a row! There have been some pretty big things that have happened; I am excited to be sharing on the blog more of what I have been wearing on my instagram- @CarolinaBstyle. Leave me a comment on what you have been up to, I would love to know!

This romper from Nordstrom is just about the most comfortable thing I own! It is perfect for outdoor picnics or activities in the heat. I wore this when Pat and I met my family in Orlando- we went to Harry Potter world at Universal Studios! It was WAY COOL and SO MUCH FUN! I mean, who doesn't love HP? This is my childhood we are talking about...!

I wore this beautiful coral cut out dress to Pat's sister's wedding a few weeks back. It is from ASOS and I paired it with my favorite aqua beaded earrings for a pop of color! I really love how romantic this dress is and how it flows behind as you walk. I wore a comfortable pair of gold heels so I could dance all night! My shoes are old but I found a few similar here and here.  This dress was perfect for the wedding, I really wish there were more occasions I could wear it to! I have gathered a few similar dresses in the links below, as well as some of the best jewelry you can wear with the dress you choose!

What else could possibly scream summer other than Lilly Pulitzer?! I admit, I wear Lilly all year around because I love all things colorful and bright! I know some of the dresses up front seems to be quite an expense, but I believe the cost is money well spent. I get excited every season to pull out my bight prints and try new ways of wearing them! This dress above I bought last year, and wore it out to meet some girlfriends for dinner! It is my favorite Lilly silhouette- a perfect fit and flare, making it ideal for the heat! Find this summer's print update to this silhouette here. I am just dying over the pink combo since pink is my absolute favorite color! All other details from this photo is below!

So big news here-cue the drum roll please! Over the Fourth of July, Pat and I had a road trip to Pittsburgh to get our baby girl, Ruby! My brother was so kind to drive four and a half hours to a little farm town named Wauseon, Ohio to pick up our ten week old toy goldendoodle, and then drive four and a half hours back to my parent's house. Pat and I drove from Charlotte to my parent's to meet our little girl and spend the long weekend there! She is by far the cutest little thing I have ever seen. OBSESSED is an understatement.  See below my July Fourth inspired instagrams and of course a few of our baby girl!

Thought I would share a few photos of Ruby's first weekend in Charlotte. She was so social being out and about!

One more thing, I can't wait to share this Kelly green dress from The Mint Julep Boutique! I'll be sharing the dress later this week- stay tuned!
