Easy Layering Outfit for Fall

Old Navy Long Sleeve Knit (old, similar here, here & here ) /  Michael Kors Mirrored Aviators /  Michael Kors Two Tone Parker Watch / Tory Burch Robinson Handbag (Mine is old, newer version here )

Hello! I hope your week is going well! Now that Fall is here, I am loving all of the layers and accessories that can easily be added to any outfit. I think this look is perfect for a day date, shopping with your girlfriends or meeting up with someone for a quick coffee. I wore this to a little pastry shop up the corner where Pat lives in Greensboro! It's such a comfortable outfit, I feel I could wear this to work on a casual Friday- minus the floppy hat! I have linked a lot of similar product below for you!
Let me know if this is an easy way to shop my look- leave a comment!

Plaid Shirt + Suede Skirt

Happy Monday! Fall is certainly in full swing and I find myself gravitating towards more booties, long sleeves, and cozy knits, even though Charlotte hasn't officially cooled off quite yet. Although, if you were in Charlotte this past weekend, you may be thinking differently. It was dreadful here; rained the entire weekend and was in the seventies. I have never seen so many crappy days in a row here; you would think you were up North!
I am loving this Christmassy plaid shirt I bought from H&M last year! It just screams Fall and before we all know it, the holiday season will be upon us! I am not trying to stress you out now! Ahah! I have linked a similar shirt above as well as a few options for the suede skirt. Suede is huge this season- I've been looking for a suede tee shirt dress, and a suede vest. Stay tune to see if my hunt is successful! I hope your week starts off well!

The Perfect Cardi

Leith Waterfall Cardi / Similar Distressed Denim / Free People V-Neck Tank (Only $19-STEAL)/ Bucco Booties (Sold out, similar here) / Tassel Earrings ($12) / Kate Spade Gold Bangle / Michael Kors Two Tone Parker Watch / Mac Cremesheen Lipstick 'Pickled Plum' / Crossbody Handbag similar here

 Howdy Ya'll!
First thing first; I can explain. This hat is a real cowboy hat and I found it in the guest bedroom as a decoration! Pat thought I wasn't being serious when I put it on but I actually really like this hat! It isn't very "floppy" like my usual picking for hats are, however, there is something about putting this hat on and feeling like I can manage anything!
So last weekend I met Pat, his parents, his sister and his brother in law for a little getaway trip to Lake Lure, south of Asheville. The lodge was stunning, the view was beautiful and our time there as a family was incredible! I would love to go back again next year or perhaps sooner with friends!
This cardigan is from Nordstrom and I love that I can pair it with almost anything! Olive green and any shades of are certainly my favorite colors for the season! It is the perfect transitional color into Fall and looks great on every skin tone!
What are your plans for your Sunday?

My First Time to Vegas!

I was absolutely blown away by all of the casino's architecture both inside and outside! It was breathtaking! The weather was H-O-T, averaging around 105 each day. Pat and I stayed at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino (It's the one that looks like a castle!) It had a very medieval feel or as I kept telling Pat, a very Harry Potter, we are at Hogwarts feel! Ahahah! The rooms were nice, the pool was stunning, and the location was PERFECT! It was at the corner of the MGM Grand, and the New York New York Hotel & Casino.  This was ideal because we attended a conference in the MGMGrand for two days. Pat and I promote healthy wellness products from the network marketing company, Xango. It was awesome to be together with a group of energetic, forward thinking, entrepreneurs! Check out the company's website and its awesome products, and if you have any questions, comment below or email me at CarolinaBStyle@gmail.com! So what is Vegas all about?! Being out and about, gambling, shows, music, djs, clubs, bars, everything extravagant. It is crazy! We saw Zumanity by Cirque de Soleil. I have seen a few shows in New York and London before, but I have never seen a show that has made me think the entire time, how is this happening?! I highly, highly recommend you see it if you are ever out in Vegas! A great deal of the trip was walking up and down the Strip, just trying different foods, and looking at the casinos. Pat loves to gamble so we did play our favorite, Roulette! We love the anxiety each round builds! We did walk around from the trip making money, however, I am slightly glad we don't live closer- it's too much fun, too risky! Hahah! The other photos you see above are just from our walk up the Strip! I knew I wanted to see the Venetian because Venice was one of my favorite places I saw when I lived in Italy! I thought I would share a few of my favorite photos for when I spent time in Venice myself! See below, and if you ever get the chance to go out to Vegas and have more questions, email me!

Have a lovely weekend!

Swing Dress + Plaid Scarf

Asos Swing Dress / Woven Plaid Scarf (From Target, similar here)/ Michael Kors Aviators / Harper Booties / The Limited Gold Filigree Earrings / Wool Floppy Hat (Old, similar here ) / Maroon Clutch (Old, similar here and here

Well hello Fall, &  hello to you! It has been TOOOOOO long since I last posted. My life has been a whirlwind! Pat and I went to Vegas for a long weekend (can't wait to share a Las Vegas round up with you soon), I moved apartments, then we went away again the next weekend to Lake Lure (where Dirty Dancing was filmed) and then unfortunately, I have been working long hours and I am sick on top of that! I think we can all agree that being sick is the worst! Anyway, aren't you jumping with joy that Fall is officially here? It has certainly been cooler here in Charlotte.  I am excited for throwing on an added piece; whether it is a plaid scarf like I am wearing, or a little vest, a floppy hat, whatever it may be, it is always exciting to add some layers! It always bring newness to the closet and each morning seems refreshing!
The little resort community we stayed in for our weekend in the mountains was BEAUTIFUL. I have never been in a log cabin before and let me tell you, it was breathtaking. Every single thing in our little cozy home was wood: floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, doors, EVERYTHING! The view from the porch wasn't like anything I have ever seen. One of my favorite parts was sitting on the porch around the fire talking, playing catch phrase, and roasting marshmallows. It was the perfect way to end each night. I'll be sharing more fall looks from my weekend soon!

Happy Fall!
xx, Carolina B
