I thought I would step out of my element a little bit and try something totally different. Do you ever buy something you love, but then you don’t end up wearing it for, well, forever? That is exactly what this fringe, metallic threaded poncho is for me. I had moved to New York City the summer before my senior year of school where I had landed a dream internship: I worked at Oscar de la Renta in their Public Relations office, same office as “OscarPRGirl. It was absolutely incredible! I remembered one night, my bosses were talking about going to the Chanel Exhibit and they were selecting what Oscar piece they were going to wear and I remember feeling so excited as well, even though my evening was getting on the L-train, headed back to Williamsburg AKA Brooklyn! Ahah! Anyway, I got off that first stop and went to a thrift store near by and found this little gem that you see me wearing in this post! I had a very “Carrie Bradshaw” moment and knew I wanted something different, something that made me feel special, just like Oscar de la Renta always makes the women that wears him feel! Ponchos are actually a really big trend right now, along with fringe, so my poncho makes its debut to the blog! I have linked some similar ones, and I think with some nice leather pants, (love these) and some bling-ing jewelry, you would have yourself a nice Holiday party look!
