Ruffle Eyelet Blouse

Top (similar here, here & here)  // Pants // Choker // Velvet Clutch //  Lips "Lickable"// Heels // Bracelet
Hello, Happy Halloween! I hope you all had a lovely weekend, perhaps out celebrating the holiday? Pat and I had a vey low-key weekend, which was super nice. It was much needed after the traveling I had done in the past ten days!
Today's top is from a new retailer, Dressfo, that I actually have only recently heard of. The exact top is sold out, but I found a very similar one from them here. Their sizing is a bit different, just really pay attention to the comparable size chart to convert for our standard US sizing. Normally, when
I find an online retailer like this, I tend to jump to a site I am super familiar with, however, I now have several tops and dresses from them, and I must say, I really like their stuff!
I love that this top has a little ruffle detail across the chest and over the arms. If I was to wear this to work or church, I would simply wear a black cami underneath for a more conservative feel. You could keep the accessories the same, I think it really comes down to the coverage through the eyelet blouse if it's a appropriate or not outside the work place or church.
Speaking of church, Pat and I are looking for one in the Winston Salem area. If you are familiar with the area and know one, let me know! I always find it challenging when you move to a new area to find the church you are looking for right away. Pat and I grew up in a very traditional Presbyterian church, which was nice, however, now we are looking for a more contemporary, modern church! We want to be involved with their youth group or maybe a small group, something for us to meet younger people like ourselves and to give back! We both were tired yesterday so we didn't find a church to try out so during dinner turned the tv off, turned our phones to silence and while we ate we watched Sunday's sermon from Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation church. Have you ever heard of him? His energy and passion is amazing. I listen to his sermons in the car all the time when I am traveling a long distance. I always feel refreshed and energized! You can download the church's app and everything is right there for you!
Happy Halloween!

Blushing Bell Sleeve Dress

When it comes to blush pink, I will always vote yes, no matter the season. Blush pink is one of those colors that can really take on a life of its own, depending on the accessories you style it with. I styled it here for Fall with these black leopard heels and this handbag, however, come Spring and I would most likely switch it up a bit. I would opt for some good nude wedges, a white handbag or perhaps a neon colored bag, and some bold jewelry! I think in the Winter I would wear black tights, over the knee boots (these are my favorite pair & I have my eyes on this pair here) and add a nice dress peacoat to pair with it. I am a strong supporter that if you love something so much, you can always find new ways to wear it again and again!
I spent this past weekend visiting my best friend in Frederick, Maryland. It's this little quaint and historic town, only an hour from DC and an hour from Baltimore. I think it's so cool to be in such close proximity to two totally different cities. We spent Saturday hiking at the Great Falls- Ruby was a star climbing up and over these massive rocks for miles on end! Sunday we explored historic Georgetown- lots of great shopping and coffee shops! If you are ever in the area, you need to grab a pastry and a coffee from Bake&Wired. It was yummy and was located along the canal which was really cool to walk along!  Monday we were going to drive in to the inner Baltimore Harbor but decided to save that for a day in which we had more hours to explore! We grabbed Rubybear and explored Frederick some more instead!
I decided to come home to Pittsburgh for a few days before heading back to Pat in North Carolina! My mom, my mother in law to be, and I looked at a few venues near my hometown! Tomorrow we are looking at a few venues in downtown Pittsburgh! Would love to hear from you if you are in the area or have been to a wedding in Pittsburgh! Pat and I do not have a date in mind what so ever, so looking at the venues seem a bit overwhelming! All of the women are like, when, what, how, why, and I'm like I don't even know what I want!
Yikes!

Fall Whites

Camel Cape // Basic Long sleeve // White Jeans // Michael Kors handbag (similar here) // Plaid Scarf (old, similar here, here & here) // Strappy Flats // Watch //
Happy Monday!
I hope you had a lovely weekend! I'm currently on the road, visiting my best friend Becca in Fredrick, MD and then heading home for a few days in Pittsburgh. My Mom, my soon to be mother in law (I still can't believe I am engaged- oh my gosh-!) and I are looking at different wedding venues in Pittsburgh these next few days! I have a packed schedule going from place to place but our evenings will be well spent. I am sure my Mom and I will go for long evening bike rides in the park near our house. Ruby will be thrilled as soon as we pull into the driveway and she knows where we are at! If you have ever been to a wedding in Pittsburgh and have any recommendations, I would love to hear from you! Or if you have any wedding planning tips, I would love to hear them!
So wearing white in the Fall season: The key to wearing white in the Fall is to keep it simple. Pair it back with a Fall staple like this plaid scarf and keep everything else neutral. I don't really follow any specific fashion "rules" per say, I am more of a wear what makes you happy and comfortable! How perfect are these strappy pointed flats? I bought mine back in the Nordstrom sale at the end of July, but I am happy to see that they are back in stock and come in five other colors! They are super comfortable, I didn't even have to break them in. I put those suckers on and was able to wear them all day long!
Thanks for stopping bye! Have a good one!

Lattice Long sleeve + Fall Trench Coat

Trench Coat // Black Lattice Long Sleeve // Faux Leather Leggings (dupe here) // Heels (similar here & here ) // Handbag (mine is old, similar here) // Lips: "Mangrove"

With Fall, comes a lot of great outerwear pieces and trench coats! I am always on the hunt for a good trench coat because they last season over season, year over year. This trench is a new favorite of mind because it's different than all of the other trench coats I have owned! It's a trendier trench, it is a "duster" length. Dusters are typically a loose long length, light weight jacket. I was actually wondering if this is a new trend or if it originated previously. I was fascinated to learn that the duster originated in the 1920s. Women would wear a duster coat when they were traveling in an open roof car! A little fun fact for you, aye?!
Anyway, I love that this trench is long in length and that I can just quickly tie it around my waist. It's perfect for this time of the year where it may not be cold walking into a restaurant but walking out a couple of hours later, it's then chilly.
Also have to share that again, THESE are my favorite faux leather leggings. They wash well, hold up in size, I wear these nonstop in the Fall and winter season. I also found THIS pair from Nordstrom that are only $29. Free shipping, free returns, I think you ought to try them, I know you'll love them!
I'm headed to see my best friend this weekend! She lives in Maryland but is only forty minutes from Washington, DC & Baltimore! I can't wait to explore with her! Be sure to follow along my instagram account: @BrittanyAnnCourtney :-)
