Christmas is in 6 days! Can you believe it? I can not. I love this time of the year where you see lots of families and friends, but it also means that 2016 is coming to an end-which is crazy to me. It makes me think how grateful I am to have the people in my life and the amazing opportunities that have come my way. This year brought a lot of change for Pat and I (insert ring emoji here- HELLO!) and I am just so unbelievably grateful that him and I are on a journey together walking down the same path that God is leading us on. It’s incredible to have such a warm feeling on where God has you in life and it’s even more amazing when you realize you have your best friend holding your hand embracing the journey with you. I am beyond thankful. If you are not in the same spot in your life, or maybe you look back at this year and wish there were things that didn’t happen or things you wish you could change, just take a moment to realize it’s okay.  The past is the past, and trust in God that he is bringing you forward. I know I am talking about the New Year as I share this very Christmassy- outfit with you today, but I wanted to share a quick life update. I have made an adjustment to my daily routine and I ask that you consider joining in with what I am doing! I started using “The Five Minute Journal” about three months ago. It’s a daily journal created from the proven principles of positive psychology. It’s simple, you take five minutes in the morning to write three things you are grateful for, three things you believe would make today great and two affirmations of yourself. The five minutes in the evening has you write down three amazing things that happened today and asks you how you could have made today better. That’s it! I love this journaling exercise because it tells my mind to think of only positivity and then asks my mind to summarize the positivity of the day. Positive thoughts yields to positive results- I am a HUGE believer in this! I’m telling you it’s been an amazing part of my day and I challenge you to consider adding this change to your New Year routine!
Now as for my Christmas outfit. This plaid shirt is only $14 & I have that it has this pop of blue in it! I wanted to show you that a holiday look doesn’t necessary have to be red and green! Throw in a pop of color or two! That’s exactly what these heels do for this outfit, they pull out the pop of color in the shirt and makes it stand out!  As always, never be afraid to add some color to your life!
Happy Monday!
xx, Brittany Ann
