Happy Friday ladies!

How is it that in one week Thanksgiving will be over and we will be only a month away from Christmas?! This is insane!Isn’t it crazy when you were a kid it seemed the holidays were never going to come and somewhere along the line of growing up and being an adult they seem to appear instantly? I’m over here like shoot I need to write my Christmas list and start shopping and watching sales for some items! Don’t stress though, I will have you covered with some gift guides, blog posts, instagrams and instagram stories announcing sales and must have items for the Holidays!

In a world that we sometimes feel like we are surrounded by negativity, I’ve decided to start a new tradition for Thanksgiving this year. I am writing my “warmest wishes” to my closest loved ones. I feel more often than not we get caught up in the bustle and hustle of the season and we are left with comparing ourselves to those around us. What is she wearing, what did he get her for a gift, who made the better this or that, etc. I want to start the holiday season off on a positive note and let each of my friends and family members know why I am thankful for them and why I appreciate them.  I’ve said it before in this post, where I asked my girls to be my bridesmaids, that Pat and I truly feel so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. We are grateful God has crossed our paths with our friends and are lucky we have stayed in each other lives. It has certainly taken me years to understand that not everyone you meet are meant to have the time and energy of a lasting friendship. I love the quote “Stop planting flowers in peoples yards who aren’t going to water them”. It’s okay to not be best friends with everyone, this makes it even more crucial to tell the ones you treasure the most how thankful you are for them!

Now what would be better than sending a card to your loved ones? Then telling them in person! I also plan on doing this over Thanksgiving with Pat’s family and I most certainly plan on doing it in my stylish yet cozy Birdies Greenfinch Smoking Slippers. Birdies is a company that has created the ideal indoor shoe. Slippers with style, they complete your outfit while making you feel comfortable as you go about doing whatever you’re doing in your home: entertaining, cooking, cleaning, snuggling, you name it and you’ll look cute while doing it! I am now hooked on these slippers and I have my eyes on this black with leopard tassel pair! These would make for a great gift to your mom, grandma and even your best friend for Christmas! They fit true to size and I swear, you’ll be happy!

Thanks for stopping by,

xx, Brittany Ann
