Spring Trend: Striped Jumpsuit for under $55

Stripe Jumpsuit //Nude Heels // Mac Lipstick "Chatterbox" // Louis Vuitton Handbag (Find it here) // Gold Bangle

Hello! Jumpsuits are always a good transitional item to wear  in this between weather. One day it's seventy and sunny and then the next day it can be fifty and cloudy. On these crazy days, I would suggest grabbing a moto jacket or jean jacket to layer on top of you're jumpsuit. I love jumpsuits because they just look and feel different. I think they feel super feminine and sexy in a super understated way. Show me a jumpsuit that highlights my waist and accentuates my curves and I am all in! This jumpsuit is only $55 and it comes in a super similar romper here. With free shipping and free returns, I think you should give the romper or jumpsuit a try! I have linked some similar options in the below widget-just click on any of the images below to shop!xx, Brittany Ann

Pretty Bell Sleeve Sweater

It was one of those weekends- you know the kind that zooms by and leaves you thinking Sunday night, "What the heck happened?". Yes, one of those weekends! Saturday was a beautiful day and after Pat, myself, and some friends went to CycleBar, we enjoyed spending some time outdoors with the our puppies and catching up! The weather has been a bit iffy with some rainstorms, but overall, you can tell that Spring is certainly coming and I can not wait!

I recently did a Spring Try On Haul with the Red Dress Boutique on my instagram stories. If you missed it, you can watch it any time on instagram. It's located under my profile and is labeled "RDB Haul". Anyways, I shared this cute sweater I am wearing in the above. It is super super soft and I love the big ruffles on the sleeves! Pair it with loafers like I did, or wear your Spring wedges for a cute dressed up look! It comes in three other colors: cream, purple & sage green!

Happy Monday!

My CycleBar Experience + Hosting Free Class

Hey guys! I'm super excited over here to announce that I am partnering with the new CycleBar studio downtown in Winston! If you are in the area and want to try out CycleBar for free, come join me this Saturday at noon for a ride! Simply register for the class with this link. You just need to make an account (email + password) and then show up at noon. Cycle shoes are provided as well as
towels and water. Be ready to sweat and get a challenging work out in!

I wanted to quickly tell all of you why I love cycling! Cycling is one hour of zoning out of day to day life and being able to solely focus on how I am feeling in the moment. Each ride is your own journey- you control how hard it is by pushing yourself. Pat and I had tried our first CycleBar class a few weeks back. We had each made online accounts (same as in the above link if you are going to come and give it a try) and was super pleased to find out how easy the entire process was. When you register for a class, you pick a bike you want to ride. That bike number correlates to the cubby when you walk into the studio where you cycling shoes are waiting. You simply sign in on the iPad and off you go! It's that easy! After the class you receive an email telling you how you performed and ranked in the class. There are some "races" that you and your fellow riders compete in but its only your bike number and username that appears on the screen! Honestly, when we were racing in our class, I was so focused on trying to beat Pat, I couldn't even look at the screen to try to figure out his speed and how well he was doing! Hahah!

In case you are completely unfamiliar with CycleBar studios, CycleBar is an indoor cycling studio. They aim at having the best instructors with great music in a great environment. You can see in the above photos, the studio is dark with really cool LED lights. The instructor changes the lights throughout the ride which is actually a really great way to switch it up so you don't feel you are just pedaling on and on! I like working out in the dark because for me, it feels really empowering! They do offer different kinds of music in their classes- hip hop, concert series, etc and they also hold community events  after some of their classes so you can meet other riders. You can really feel a  sense of community at the studio!

I really want to challenge you to try a new workout in the next week! Sometimes we get in a rut of a routine and you have to switch it up to tap back into your motivation and focus. You most likely set some kind of a fitness or health related goal on January 1st- stick with it now! Join me in cycling this Saturday at noon at the Winston Salem downtown studio! Just sign up using this link and remember to bring a friend! The class is free so you might as well try it while you can!

Thanks for following along,
xx, Brittany Ann

Stripe Wrap Dress for under $50

Hello! With Spring well on its well, a striped wrap dress is the perfect dress for almost all occasions. This dress can be worn for so many different things: to the office, on a lunch date, on a dinner date and to church to name a few. I have a thing for wrap dresses, I think they complement any women's body, especially a curvy body as I feel they really accentuate your curves but also show off your waist line. It's the best of both worlds-tiny waist & showing your curves! This dress is only $49 which I find to be a steal! I think it's hard to find a good work dress that dupes for wearing on the weekends or in your personal life that is less than the $80-$100 range but this one is perfect! The best part? It also comes in this navy and white gingham print here. I am one that if I love something, I may or may not buy it in a few colors....just saying! :-) The dress is from Nordstrom who, by the way, is having their 40% off winter sale. You can get some great pieces to transition your wardrobe while it's still cold out!

Blue and white is a timeless combination that I never get tired of wearing. It's just always such a pretty combination and you can wear pops of pinks and reds with it to freshen up a look you have worn previously!  I found this two piece skirt set from Forever21 that I should be receiving any day now in the mail! By the way, today Forever21 is having a huge sale- 80% off their sale section! Huge savings!

I have rounded up a few more blue and white dresses in the below widget. Just simply click on the image to shop the item! Happy Monday! I hope it was a productive one!

10 Things on my Mind Lately

Today's post is a bit different than my usual. I can't help but feel the older and older I get, the faster life goes. I can lay awake at night thinking about a million and one things I need to do, or just stay up thinking.  This post is me just sort of me expressing what's on my mind lately and if you want to do the same, leave a comment below or send me an email! (brittanyanncourtney@gmail.com) I would love to hear from you, even if you just want to say hi!

1.) Everything is a choice. What you put in your body is a choice you make. What words you use with someone is a choice. How you make someone feel is a choice. Sometimes, people will make a choice that ends up hurting you. You need to realize that and choose to move on. Make a conscious decision every single day to wake up with a positive outlook!

2.) Those who surround you are a direct link to the success you have. This one has been something I have really have learned in the past few years. People want to jump on the bandwagon when they see someone's success and think they can just get a piece of it too. I've learned that those kinds of people will never amount to having more in life if they aren't willing to put in the work. Surround yourself with people who don't want your's or someone else's success. Surround yourself with people who are already chasing after their dreams, making things happen, succeeding. Energy is contagious and it'll keep you focused and motivated.

3.) I have been in a rut of where I am wishing time to go by. This tends to happen to me each year during the winter. I am over it, I am ready for some warmer days and Spring! I literally pulled out my storage containers that have all of my spring and summer clothes and went through them.  I made a pile of clothes to donate, what to sell and what I will keep. It make me feel productive and had me excited for warmer days ahead.

4.) The Olympics: Have you guys been watching? I enjoy watching the games and quite a few times already when one of our gold medalist are standing up on the podium with the Star Spangled Banner playing, I begin to tear up! Oh my goodness, call me emotional but I just can not imagine having that laser focus for four years, all of that hard work, all of the sacrifices and then you stand there as the 100% best in the world, representing your country. It's amazing! At the same time, when I see an athlete fall or not land a trick my heart breaks for them. It's quite stressful watching haha!

5.) The next two are gym related. I have actually realized very recently that I tend to avoid making any eye contact with any guy at the gym. I often feel at the gym, guys just stare and watch women work out. You know you can sense it when someone is staring, not glancing or walking towards your direction but actually full on staring? I tend to just look beyond any male near me and then if I catch them staring for a long time I'll actually be a bit aggressive and give them a "What?" look! Pat thought I was crazy when I said guys are so weird and annoying at the gym but now he does say that there are some serious creeps!

6.) High Intensity Training: Pat and I recently added a new HIT workout to our regimen. Three times a week we are doing a jumprope training. Jump rope for 5 minutes at a constant pace. Jump rope as hard and fast as you can for 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds. Repeat this until you complete 5 minutes. End with cooling down by jump roping at a constant pace for 5 minutes. It seems like it wouldn't be hard but my goodness- it's crazy challenging and I was sore for days after the first time I did this!

7.) I have been trying to turn my phone over on the night stand when we walk into our room to go to bed. I set my alarm from the living room and then that is it! I can spend hours scrolling on Instagram and Pinterest and its proven the bright lights activates your brain and keeps you up! I have actually been trying to read every night for a half hour or so before bed instead. It soothes me!

8.) NARCOS is one of the best shows Pat and I have ever watched. I'm not kidding, I know this one is completely random but Pat and I are only a few episodes away from finishing it and I am super bummed. This show is based off of real life history of the infamous Pablo Escobar and the Medellin cartel. It's fascinating to think about the world as this big place with all of these crazy things going on.

9.) I did a try-on haul on my instagram the other day. Did you miss it? It's saved as RDB Haul on my highlights so you can watch it if you want. Anyways, a lot of you had messaged me that you like that I did that. I had received a bunch of Spring clothes from the Red Dress Boutique and filmed myself trying them on and talking about sizing, fit, color, how to accessorize, etc. I will continue to do those for all of you! That was fun!

10.) I posted a photo of me in a sports bra on instagram a couple weeks back, (see it here) give it a like if you would :-). I had so much anxiety leading up to posting it because I was afraid what some people would comment. I have been working really hard on transforming my body, making it stronger and leaner. I want to share that will all of you, beauty is all shapes and sizes. I posted it in hopes I would inspire at least one person out there to keep working hard and that the results will come. I am thankful for all of you who responded nicely and asked for more updates and fitness related content! It is my goal to inspire each and every one of you as much as I can!

Thanks for stopping by,
enjoy your weekend!
xx, Britany Ann

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day ladies!
I love the holiday because it kind of reminds everyone that to love and be loved is one of the greatest things. And that is in regards to your significant other but of course, also to your family and friends. If you are single out there, I hope the holiday is about expressing to your girlfriends or other friends, how much they mean to you. Easier said than done, but I think today is a good day to express to your loved ones, how important they are to you and how amazing they are!

So with that being said, I want to thank each and everyone of you that come here for a source of inspiration. I hope I am able to show you trendy outfits, motivate you to work out, to travel, to just be who you are and love life! Thank you for following along with me! (Insert heart emojii! <3 ahah!)

My top is just simply fun! I love the large exaggerated bell sleeves. It was beyond windy when we took these photos and between my hair, the balloons and my sleeves, it was a bit crazy! Pat, my sweetheart, takes all of my photos so we have Saturday & Sunday to shoot. Sometimes when the weather isn't the greatest, there isn't a whole lot we can do! Oh well, anyways, I think in these photos above you can see how adorable this top is. It also comes in two other colors: black with white piping and white with black piping. The white top is on sale for $9.99. Huge sale and you can have it in two days-perfect for a night out with the girls or date night!

I hope your day is filled with roses, chocolates and your loved ones!
xx, Brittany Ann
