Our Destination Wedding Ceremony

You guys, I can’t even find the words to describe how amazing our wedding day was and how absolutely beautiful everything was in person. It was thee most perfect day, the very best day we have ever experienced.

Pat and I are overwhelmed with joy for how much love and support we received from our closest family and friends who made the journey. It was an amazing day we got to share and we loved that it was actually five-seven days we were able to celebrate with our guests at the resort! The party continued after the wedding!

I wrote our entire ceremony word for word for our officiant to read. Pat and I also wrote our own vows together. I plan on getting them written on canvas to have hung in our home one day 🙂 Anyways, I will admit I was very particular about the ceremony because I really wanted it to be super personable, super intimate, super us. I also wanted Pat and I to read letters to each other before our ceremony. We stood back to back and Pat did not see me! We held hands as we read our vows and  letters and it was such a special moment for us. We wrote our letters ahead of time and had them written in these little vow books- they match our guest book as well! Pat squeezed my hand good bye and headed down to the pier for the ceremony. I, of course, walked down the aisle a few minutes later  to marry my love!

Our photos were shot by Gaston from puntacanaphotographer.com. Pat and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Gaston, Cami and the team. We LOVED how our photos turned out. You guys, this is just a tiny little bit of what we have from them! If you saw my instagram from last night- give me a ‘like’ on it here, then you would know why we chose La Romana, DR for our wedding. I absolutely fell in love with Altos de Chavon, when I stumbled across photos of it on instagram, from @puntacanaphotographer. I knew when I saw that church that Pat and I stood in front, we had to see that place in person. We decided to do a “First Look” shoot there with Gaston & Cami. I surprised Pat  with my second dress that I had for the reception. These photos are insanely beautiful and out of this world too! I will be sharing those really soon!

I wanted to quickly say that our pink and white robes us girls wore while getting ready are from HundredHearts on Etsy. I spoke with the owner, Sophie, multiple times and she is so sweet. She had a beautiful wedding in Thailand and shared photos and videos with me! So sweet of her! Anyways, love these robes, wear mine everyday and they make for great bridesmaid gifts! You can pick the color of the foil for each girl’s name or have “bridesmaid” written on them!

If you saw this photo of my mom and I from Mother’s Day , all of us girls wore these palm printed robes from DaysofBlossom shop on Etsy for the morning of the wedding when we were lounging by the pool! They are a great quality  and I highly recommend them as well! They have so many prints-one would fit your wedding theme for sure!

I can’t wait to share our wedding reception and then our Altos de Chavon shoot with you next!

xx, Brittany Ann
