Hello everyone! I just spent this past weekend in beautiful Charleston. If you have never been, Charleston dates back to 1670 and is known for it’s elaborate architecture, colorful homes, cobblestone streets and horse drawn carriages all situated along an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean. Overtime is has certainly become a booming area for tourism, however, if you walk off of the beaten bath a little bit, you’ll discover it’s original charm and can fantasize what it would be like to live in one of the big beautiful homes, overlooking the water on the Battery! If you remember, Pat, Ruby and I were in Charleston in the beginning of June to shoot our engagement photos. See that post here.
My best friend and I went drove down for a long weekend. We have a friend that recently moved and what better way to spend a long weekend than visiting her and seeing some more of Charleston?! One of my favorite things to do is just walk and walk and walk. I love to park the car somewhere and start exploring, however, August is h.o.t! Scorching temperatures meant I couldn’t do as much walking around randomly, we had a purpose each time we got out of the car! Haha! We got back yesterday because although we had this weekend planned for quite some time, it’s ironic the eclipse has a 100% view in Charleston, drawing an estimated crowd of 1.6 million people! On top of that, it was move in weekend for the College of Charleston which meant more people and more cars! Despite the amount of added people there, we enjoyed the weekend catching up and exploring different parts of town!
This off shoulder top is super pretty! I love the white meshing the embroidered flowers are sewn to. It makes for a light and airy top, and is currently on sale for $40! I paired it with white jeans here, however, in a few weeks when we move closer to Fall, I would rewear it again with black jeans to create a more transitional look!
Thanks for stopping by,
xx, Brittany Ann
