My, oh, my is this one of the most amazing things I have
ever seen. I mean, seriously, it absolutely takes your breath away. It is one
of the most traveled places in the world as tourists are dying to understand
this natural wonder. It’s truly amazing. We took a helicopter and flew over
this vast beauty for an hour. The touring company was Papillion Grand Canyon Helicopters and if you ever make
it out there to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, I would recommend you use
them. They offer several tours, but you really get your bang for your buck; We
were able to cover so much territory in the short amount of time of being up in
the sky! It is insane to me that the canyon is about a mile deep, and 10 miles
wide! You can look at these photos, but honestly, it just doesn’t do this place
justice. The view is AHHH—MAZING!
We ate dinner at El Tovar, the largest tourist destination
in the heyday, about a hundred years ago. This Lodge is a beautiful large log
cabin located on the south rim of the canyon. (The south rim has the most vast
landscaped view). The view was incredible, unfortunately, the air got a bit
chillier than I was expecting, so at the last second I had to switch from my
favorite leopard heels from sole society, and switch to my favorite over the
knee boots from Vince Camuto. You can see the post of this ASTR dress here!
Stay tuned to hear about the Antelope Canyons and our visit to Page, Arizona!
